week one experiment
Carrying on from the materials workshop, I wanted to carry on expressing my concept through minimalistic and abstract videos. I thought of conveying the loss of purity, and the struggles adolescents often go through. These are a few stills from that experiment (56 seconds).
week 2 scale workshop 1
For this workshop, I wanted to focus on video projection and typography, and also pushed forward the idea of an interactive outcome. On one side of the door, there is a text quote from Madeleine L’Engle and her last few words that are ages (51, 32, 28) are spread out so they just fit the angle of the door. The other side consists of video projection that ultimately interacts with the typography as the door is pushed further away.

week one unit 7 outcome
These are stills from the first outcome of this project. It consists of the experiments of the same week , as well as new scenes that I had storyboarded. This is a development from the first trial and it contains narration that was inspired by different book quotes, as well as audio used in the materials workshop.

week 2 outcome
This a development from the week one outcome, as I used some of the same scenes, but also added more that followed the themes of the moving image. One of the main points of this outcome is the colour palette that I used for each location/set. I also used the same model so that this would be a component that connects my variety of scenes. The audio is a recording of me playing Berceuse by Frank Bridge.
week 3 outcome-title cover (acetate)
By using stills and extra photos from yesterday, I created publication that could potentially go along with the film so that the explanation of my concept is clearer.
